A friend from ACJC
I found this while on duty yesterday. The article was published in the August issue of Police Life Monthly. It is a magazine that I subscribe to, but have never received a single copy. I always end up digging for abandoned old copies on the boat to read away time with.
Well, I guess the article says it all. Teo Zi-Ming, the Christian Fellowship pianist, BB Warrant Officer who has received some commendation along with Charles from no less than the President himself. Truly a Scholar, Officer and a Gentleman. He was a really smart guy from 2SC1 that ended up doing two S-Papers in Physics and Chemistry and received 7 distinctions in his A levels, making him the 3rd best student in ACJC after Winston Chin and Boon Leong. He is a highly accomplished and gifted pianist not to mention, the top trainee in physical fitness in Officer Cadet School (OCS).
Well, he is the youngest full fledged Police Inspector in the Force now. See his uniform? Its a senior officer's uniform, 6 buttons down the center plus two extra lower pocket and it is worn TUCKED OUT.
His rank is that of INSP. Not NSPI, NSI, INSP/P, INSP(1), INSP(2). All the others are nonsense. His is the REAL DEAL, because his next rank will be ASP and then DSP. He doesn't need to go by "numbers" unlike degree holders who sign on.
[Normal Degree Holder] Insp / P > Insp(1) > Insp(2) > ASP(1) > ASP(2) > DSP(1) > DSP(2) > SUPT(1)
[Zi-Mings] INSP > ASP > DSP > SUPT > DAC > AC > SAC
Give Zi-Ming about easily 10 to 20 years, he'll be around the rank of Senior Assistant Commissioner (SAC). Who knows, he might become the Commissioner of Police someday. God is putting him into a powerful leadership position and putting much favour into his life. He just needs another "biscuit" on his shoulder and then he'll be like the 3rd most powerful man in the entire police force.
Yeah, can imagine how fast his rank will jump. He's getting PAID by the police force a monthly salary of that of a police inspector as he studies in university now. He should be promoted to ASP in two years time and whilst studying in London, receive around 3500 a month in pay, not including the living expenses, food, ect, that are covered by his scholarship. So when he graduates after 3 years, he'll have about 110 000 dollars in his bank account alone! And he'll only be 21!
Well, I don't think I need to say more about this Man of God. God bless you Zi-Ming. I'll have to salute him whenever I see him in future.
