On STEPH'S photo page. She seems to have captured a very rare kind of paranormal picture. No lest in ACJC during the day time. I'm really curious. Did someone die at the Smiley for which they painted it? Have to ask around. But this picture is very interesting. Its like a one off very clear pictures that depict paranormal activity, as claimed by professional paranormal investigators worldwide.
My own current checks with this photo prove that it is not an edited picture and it very closely resembles other so called "ghost phenomena photography" or what older paranormal investigators would refer to as "ectoplasm". Interesting food for thought.
As for all the ghosts in ACS. I won't say much. These are stories that have to be reserved for the the "next generation of ACSians". The Barker Road Campus is *woo!*. Think! Battle of Bukit Timah Hill, Japanese Occupation, 1942? In primary 4 when some of us ACPS guys were allowed to explore the clocktower before the school opened (this one was totally illegal, we just snuck in), there were still banana notes lying around the floor of the clocktower. This was before they did any revamp to the mechanism so it was the very ancient one that had stalled at 11.35 40 years ago.
Interesting AC History that will never find its way into the "Official Book".

Yeah, in police they allow you to keep your hair long. As in much longer than those army guys who have spikey hair for like 2 straight years? Policemen are allowed to keep it long so long as it looks neat and mantains a professional look.
Yes, I didn't gel my hair in AC, except on those 3 "memorable occasions". Can ask T-Squared, L-Squared, everyone. Everyone knows that I don't gel my hair and leave it extremely messy with the i-just-got-out-of-bed hairstyle for which I wore to school. Oh yeah, Maggie did look at it in amusement a couple of times. *Guffaw!*
All my AC friends always encouraged me to "GEL YOUR FREAKING HAIR CAN?". And somehow, they'd all be but very happy to try to rub gel or hair wax into my hair! Nonsense man! So usually, I satiated their requests by using water from the toilet instead, and without having a towel to dry my hair of excess water, I have nice little streams of water flowing down my neck and the back of my heads to wet my uniform! Nonsense man!
I actually felt quite sad for those girls who got tricked into coming over only to find like 50 plus over AC guys just gazing upon them as eye-candy material. Its not nice and not fair to them. Plus they get irritated when the usual slew of people try to hit on them repeatedly. I didn't have much part in any of this nonsense. Usually, I'd just lock myself and a few other guys up in brother's room and "watch and hear"the action (via Brother's security system) with the other guys as "reality tv". Laughing at the failures of guys who failed trying to hit on the girls. I'm sorry I'm so evil, but sometimes, you just need a cheap thrill to relax.
I don't know much abou the PES I guess. But alot of AC people I know are either Clerks or in damn slack vocations! If not, they're all in OCS! Like half the guys I know are in OCS! The rest SISPEC and MP/RP. Only a few extras in Commandos, Divers, RT, Armour and GUARDS (Wah suffer sia!). Well, ARMY is just an organisation created to serve death as its master. What can I say?
The training is really tough. Even Maggie's bf (who is COMMANDO MATERIAL) is like out of course thanks to a dislocated knee. Then Sanee (Dalvir) is also O.O.A (out of action) thanks to twisting his knee very badly. Nonsense man this army. Drive recruits to the edge, make them suffer and get injured then put them through an utterly useless medical care system. HELLO SAF? No hospital gives patients THREE DRIPS for a cold! Nonsense man! Really rubbish I'd say! Please don't believe the public relations propaganda. Its laughable what they write sometimes.
What I saw was alot of my ayam sakit friends getting PES A/B like FREE ONE. Then all out of course end up clerks. Nonsense man!
What I heard in police, during my training. Is that the Civl Defence is somehow instructed, that when there's a car/motorbike road accident. They have to save the civilian FIRST before attending to ANY personnel in ARMY uniform (even if the guy is in critical condition). Yeah! Save the civilian and trash the dogs eh? I was quite sad when I heard this. Even at hospitals where NSmen end up in. Alot of the doctors and nurses believe they they all chao keng one, and give them shabby treatment - which is why most of my rich AC friends who get injured in army INSIST on being sent to a private hospital (ah pa will pay) cos the gahmen hospitals really descriminate against NSmen. From personal experience, I think its is so damn true.
I think honestly, if there's one gahmen organisation that 18 year olds are very unhappy with. Its definitely the SAF. Silly And Foolish. Tsk. Best thing is that they block all recourse to take such issues up to Parliament, insisting only on "proper channels of feedback". I guess they're really scared if the general public find out what really happens to alot of the guys during NS.
patrol
Patrol was quite good today! And I was fasting too! The sea state was wonderfully calm, although it became rough towards about 3 to 4, when the tides began to change, it became calm again towards 6 plus. The weather was excellent too. Though there was dark cloud cover at some points, it did not rain in our sector.
The sea looked very beautiful today. And I'm talking about dirty water here! It turned from lime green, to dark green, then dark blue, then light blue, then yellowish throughout the day. At one point, on one side of our boat the water was dark blue and the other it was lime green! Quite interesting a sight to behold! Plus the sunset looked magnificent today!
We only spot checked 2 tugboats today, other than that as we were about to spot check another indon trade craft, a tanker horned at us from about half a nautical mile away. Indicating potential likelyhood of collision. So we just scrapped the check. Thinking about. Even though some of these tankers are so huge, sometimes when we're in the midst of duty we don't even notice their presence. Have to be careful at sea.
Another interesting development was that our fender ropes snapped whilst we were speeding around the place, so we had to retie it and for the first time, I could see how line eye-splicing was done. I got to rest for like about an hour plus on the boat until my crew commander woke me up indicating that our air conditioner had failed and we were changing boats!
So it was my first experience switching boats on the high sea. Although the sea state was calm, the boats when tied together producing very violent rocking forces - and this was in calm sea! They last time I saw during my MPC when two boats were tied alongside off Raffles Lighthouse was how powerful the smashing forces can really add up to be. You'll just die if you lose your footing and fall in between the two boats tied together! Even with our fenders to cushion the blow, yet they can't do very much either.
I just slept after feeling really jaded after the boat transfer. You know, you get that super tired feeling if your woken up too prematurely after going to rest? its very disorienting and it feels like you've no strength at all. So I just slept until almost 8.30 at night and then shift ended and I was the last to leave the base!
I'm very happy that I managed to fast and only break my fast after reaching home at about 10.45. So basically I fasted for about 16 hours today if I start from 6? One more fast to go. Probably on Friday or something. The malay guys on board were very supportive of me when they realised why I wasn't snacking on the usual plethora of tidbits onboard. They were so incredibly supportive of me and cheered me on! This is unlike what I've experienced before! So now they're asking me to join them during the Ramadan season. I fast for Jesus and they fast for Allah. And we can all feel hunger together! =)
Well, tomorrow, I'll be out on patrolw with SI Norman and once again get to visit the CITY at night! Woo!
