It sounds like a crazy amount of reading to do. But I'm quite confident that it won't be hard or a problem to do so. I can always read in class, since none of the instructors disturb me. I can also read on the boat when I'm off duty or when the weather is very calm. Just hope that my eyes won't get too strained when attempting to do so.

I want to know as much as a student who has a diploma in Economics. I want to beat all the class people in their knowledge of Economics. I want to not only know as much as they do or they have studied and covered. I desire to SURPASS them completely. Until james beats me when he studies for Econs at SMU. I hope I can talk to Charles on this as well (Charles is the only student in the whole ACJC with a distinction in Economics S Paper!). The whole entire Christian Fellowship (with the exception of the few SA and SC1 students) has knowledge in economics! I don't want to be left out!

Dad is an expert on Business. He can really read the markets very well. He has an M.B.A as well. But seriously, he knows the PRACTICAL. I want to read the theory and let him teach me the PRACTICAL. I need to completely understand the stock market, shares, interest rates and all that stuff! Business is too big a part of my world to ignore it.

Besides.. Economics and Business go together.

Psychology because mei is gonna study Psychology. I don't want to be left out when she talks about it in future! Same with philosophy, because it is just a casual personaly interest that I want to know more about.

Peirong's going to study Art I think, so of course I need to know how to understand how to appreciate art! Cubism, Impressionism, Abstract art and all that stuff. Its important. Art is a very big part of the lives of people in Europe and America. Too big to ignore again.

Literature is very important. I need to learn to read between the lines. I need to understand more of fiction and the focused themes of fantaasy, love and hate, bitterness and character development. Notwithstanding, I have to learn to appreciate and master poetry and complex themed movies like Titanic. I can't just keep following the main story, I want to really analyse the plot and stuff.

Mathematics. Because I'm going to Major in this subject. I think the freqent practice of Maths will inhibit Alzheimer's Disease as it keeps the mind strong and active and makes it really think.

I want to learn how to draw properly. I've been so bad at art and drawing all my life. This cannot go on anymore! I still remember when I got 5/100 OVERALL for my art grade in Sec 2 at the end of the year on my report card! How bad is that when half the class is getting 95% for it?

I'd like to learn the piano all over again. I last touched it 12 years ago in Primary 1. Dad had financial difficulties after a while and then I had to stop learning totally. Hopefully I can get Bell to teach me or something. It's better to get a girl-friend to teach. Cos girls play the piano better than guys (in my Opionion) and are easier to learn with. Besides, most of the guys are in NS and won't exactly be patient teaching another guy. And so I'll have to learn to read music score sheets and learn a little bit about music. At least with my drumming background, I should have lesser problems trying to keep the beat in the song.

I have to read even more than what I read now, which is pathetic! History of Singapore and New York would be a good place to start of General Knowledge as would University Year 1 physics. Hopefully I can double major in physics and mathematics in NYU.

And I need to read a self help book on the art of communication. I think its necessary so that at least I can have more confidence in talking to girls! =( Sad but true....

And my Bible. Cos God's the most important in life. He is after all, my portion!
