Today. One of those days when you wake up. Everything seems to suck and things all seem to go wrong. Some old lady pricked my leg with a bagful of durians at the market. Then, the queue for the barber was incredibly long - all before opening time.
Sometimes, I really wonder how screwed up our country really is. Queueing is a "national pastime"? That's weird. What's wrong with losing out. Then there is also the matter with horrendous taxi drivers. Mostly and irksome pest of a "road-user". Ironically, taxis usually display "Please be courteous" on their bumpers. Politics is very interesting.
While I could gripe more about the state of our society. I couldn't be bothered. It was just a bad day, that's all. And I have to go back to work tomorrow. My one week break is over so quickly. Back to being a slave for the nation. And I can't go to church tomorrow. How sad is that?
Mum's been under a whole lot of stress lately. Yesterday, she almost crashed her car in the garage after engaging the wrong gear. And I found out that my favourite dish, kway chap, is supposedly extremely high in cholesterol. Why is it that all the good tasting food is bad for health? To me, kway chap and deep fried chicken wings is a gift from God. Ah, trading in a couple of years in return for having good food is rather worth it.
Only highlight of the day was cellgroup meeting. I felt that the whole cellgroup was arranged specially by God for me. The songs of praise and worship as well as the message. Struck deep into my heart. The sermon? "Passion for God". I realise that I am a proud person. Perhaps not in personality. But certainly proud in heart. God hates pride, and so I'll have to work on this area to change.
Besides the lack of loving my neighbour as myself. I too lack in having a passion for compassion. Its amazing how God is willing to accept me and change me, even though I am really just so messed up. How truly great is His grace and mercy towards me. Ah, I feel so loved. ;-)
Remained at Charle's house for awhile to hear him play the Love Theme from Final Fantasy VI. That song is so sad. So much emotion. Almost can cry. Charles inspires me to take up the piano. For own personal fun, that is. I just want to play for my own personal pleasure.
Me in a suit playing a Steinway grand piano in my black & white house furnished with chinese antiques. Don't forget the red long sleeved shirt with extra high and wide collar. Airconditioned room. Oh. I could spend hours playing Christian hymns and worship songs. How idealistic.
NTU is having some new courses. Most notable being bio-engineering. I have been thinking so much about all my career paths. But perhaps, I have this weird feeling, 10 years down the road. I'll be working in a church. I wonder what my parents will make of that.
Can someone explain to me what is a drag queen?
