Listening to Hillsongs UNITEd LIVE - Need You Here

Argh! Yet another person I know, BOON LEONG, has discovered my blog! Its amusing to note that I cannot get to order a peer to peer icq connection to him because my cable connection to his 100 MBPS MIT Internet access speed is too great a difference for the icq servers to accept.

I wrote a very long article about yesterday's Kusu Duty. But I seem to have no intention of publishing it for all to see. I think what Gabriel says is rather true. I am too caught up with all the little nitty gritty details and stuff. I guess that's rather unavoidable, given that from my training as Policeman, I have to capture as many details as possible in any given scenario. But besides, its my blogging style since I do refer to my previous entries as a journal of sorts.

Seriously. When I look at my past entries, even those from a week ago. I realise how childish they sound. My blog is truly so shallow majority of the time. Save for a few bits of deeper thinking here and there.

Well, because of yesterday's Kusu Duty. I did not have to do a night shift, which messed up my sleeping patterns once again. But nevermind, I hope to be back at it soon enough starting tomorrow.

I just had a nice wonderful rest after yesterday's very tiring duty and then slept till almost noon, once again. And later proceeded for a cellgroup meeting at Merf's house. I love meeting up with God. Its really something that I look forward to everytime every week. Cellgroup was great, short, but really sweet and the message, although a previously preached one, was once again a reminder to me not to be complacent. It is truly more important to put what I learn into practise, rather than be hearers and not doers of the Word.

Everyone. Go catch The Passion. The movie of of the life of Jesus, on his final 12 hours before His death on the Cross of Calvary. The bloodshed and the honest and piercing truths about the excruciatingly painful death that my Savior suffered for me and my sin should be made known to all the depth of the Love of God. I've watched the trailer at passion-movie.com and it is truly ver vivid and stark a reminder not to take the Lord's death on the cross for granted.

During Easter as well as Good Friday church services. Church usually puts up a drama portraying the the death and ressurrection of Jesus. And every single year, even though the drama and the storyline is more or less the same. I feel pain within my hearts as well as great sadness within me to see Jesus die such a horrible death for such as me. Honestly, I do not deserve such unmerited favor of God in my life that He die for me. He doesn't have to! Its me who should be hanging on that cross. Not Him! How mighty and marvellous a Savior we have then! Lets keep looking to Him, knowing that if He can. So can we.

I later joined Shingles as well as Mark at our typical pub hangout - Wal-Wala. Now. I do not like going to pubs. But today, once again, I made an exception since the guys promised me that we would drop by Crystal Jade for supper later on. We sat a tad bit too close to the speakers and now my ears are ringing as well as hurting from all that loud noise. Really, I don't understand what is the logic of a place to "chill out' when you have to shout into the ear of the friend next to you, so that he might just be able to hear your words. Its really so out of point.

I just drank and drank today. 4 nice little bottle of Heineken Beer - my favourite. As I have not been drinking for a long period of time. I actually felt half drunk when I walked out of the pub. But of course. Not drunk to the extent that I could not walk in a straight line. Just a little bit high? Enough to go to Crystal Jade and order our customary bowl of wonderful porridge.

For the today. It seemed that no one wanted to collect the bill from us. Normally at Wala-Wala. You pay once you get the drinks. The guys totally forgot about us. So we just dumped the money on the table and left. Even at Crystal Jade. Normally, they'd get us to pay upfront when it is very crowded at night. But today, they just left us to dump the money on the table and leave nicely.

I don't like pubs. They are really not my kind of place. I do not accept the logic that "if the music sounds good, we ought to go hang out there". Its just such an out of point place. What I saw today at Wala-Wala really saddened me. But I can't say it here. Sigh.

I'm really tired now, so I'm going to rest at long last. To wake up at 6 plus for ministry tomorrow. I think I should make a covenant with God to never consume alcoholic drinks.
