Listening to Frank Sinatra - New York, New York
complexities
Actually refering to Shu's comments. If she said my CCA was a loser CCA I wouldn't disagree. Honestly. We were quite a disaster CCA functioning as a bunch of people who would slack in the air-conditioned school gym for 2 hours twice a week just for the sake of socialisation? That's why I happen to know so many people! Not as friends, but just to "know" them as hi bye AC friends.
The gym is an excellent place to be in seriously. There is nothing like in a school in the entire SEAsia. Can meet up with friends. Can play games. Got Air Con. Can watch live drama reality tv action unfold before you. I won't say the rest of the "banned things" that we also would do in the gym. Not to mention the snooker table? Gym is how fun man. A definining CCA for lots of guys who would prefer to not to be caught up in the politics of other CCAs. My CCA is so simple. We don't even care whose the president (it was brother), we make fun of our vice-admiral everytime. Then our secretary's a girl who comes to take our "attendance" (all present lah!) and then goes for dance practice. And our treasurer is like forever telling to "get brother to fund it cos he's rich enough and I don't want the hassle of collecting cash". Yups. So it was fun.
I think it got closed down already. Loser CCA? Yups. Fun CCA? Tremendously. And we get to see "interesting things".
Anyway, I have to be open about varied perspectives right? Life is as such. The inability to see things from other's people's perspective is sheer folly. Shu is my online sis! She's so sweet! =)
Anyway, with regards to the dance society thing. It was more to my batch. So it didn't involve my juniors.

I watched Cruel Intentions yesterdayl. Everyone please go watch it another time. The show really kicks up alot of issues in a mild way. Let's just ignore the main plot in a viewing and you can see many different interesting things.
sentry
It was just a simple sentry duty. It rained and the weather was good. Not to mention that there were many flashes of lightning across the night sky, so it was like some sort of a weather fireworks show. I did duty on the jetty with Rahmat. Nothing interesting except that we got our driver at the office to go buy me some roti prata at about 11p.m. I discovered that the taps on the jetty are really powerful. You don't need to use soap to get the oil off your hands. Its so strong that the oil basically just gets blasted away.
To pass the time till 4a.m, when my part of the duty would end and Rahmat would take over. I spent time catching up on all my previous issues of Time and NewsWeek as well as the newspapers. Its amazing how slowly time passes when I'm on duty. I usually take about 3 hours to finish reading the entire Time or Newsweek. But somehow I only took at most an hour per magazine yesterday when on duty. To keep myself awake, I just wandered around our jetty as well as played with the water hose. At one point I was so tired and drowsy that I had to sing silly jazz songs to myself to keep awake. How amusing indeed.
All this while, Rahmat slept on the jetty. Then one of the boats requested a change in patrol craft, so that saw the office personnel sending a boat out at about 12 plus and then returning about 20 minutes later, leaving me to help tie the boat to the jetty in the rain.
Other than that, I just slept my way till this morning on the cold hard floor, but it felt great.
church
Church was wonderful again this week. Although pastor shared an old message from a few years ago, I still thoroughly enjoyed the whole thing. AFter church which I just had a simple late lunch with the new cellgroup and made my way home. Praise was just above average this week, but worship was excellent.
I guess the praise wasn't so good because it is exam period now. Youths are stressed and worried. I too, was very tired but just carried on. Have to offer the sacrifice of praise when you can't afford it. That's when its valuable. On the whole, I need to catch up with my bible studies and stuff and try to be a better person in general as well as character.
Personality wise, I'm not so sure. I'm not really in the business of being "nice" for the sake of being nice. Its so hypocritical. I just try to project myself as I am to everyone. But I'll try to be more friendly and more loving and caring. I need more time.
