Listening to a Live Transmittion of City Harvest Church's Revival Conference - its supposed to be video, but apparently, too many people have logged onto the server and its now just audio!

In future, I'll try never to do 3 posts in a single day. Only goes to show how much time I spend online, how bored I can be and how truly lifeless I am.

which should I get?

Should I buy the LEADTEK GeFORCE FX 5900 ULTRA with 256 MB of DDR II Memory or the HERCULES RADEON 9800 PRO with 256 MB of DDR II Memory. Which one is better, I wonder. Even Atek contends that they are evenly matched, just that ATI's cooling is much better and more efficient and the GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) doesn't take up TWO slots worth of space thanks to the cooling apparatus.

But then again, LEADTEK has the best cooling apparatus for Nvidia's GPUs, enabling high end core overclocks for substantially boosted video performance.

Getting the cards means I'll need to get a new motherboard, newer RAM modules, and a new processor to use it properly. Perhaps Dad wouldn't mind me asking for like 3000 bucks to upgrade the computer at the end of this year as part of a "christmas present".

Or should I just wait for AMB Athlon64? It's expected to kick Intel's ass with 64 bit prcessing and it is 32 bit backward compatible. Already, they're Opteron, a 64 bit processor with a core speed of just 1.8 GHZ and a 400 mhz pipeline can kick intel's 3.2 GHZ "hyperthreading" technology.

Nico told me that Intel's processor can simulate 2 processors. Apparently, the AMD Athlon Athlon64 can simulate THREE processors.

The next generation of computing will truly be very exciting. So here's the Christmas Wishlist.

- Intel Pentium 4c, 3.2 GHZ running at 800 MHZ
- 1 GB of CorsairX 500 MHZ RAM modules
- 6 Western Digital Raptor Serial ATA Harddisks running on RAID Level 50
- Klipsch ProMedia 5.1 THX
- Creative SoundBlaster Audigy 2 Platinum EX
- Some motherboard (This one have to ask Atek)

GEFORCE FX 5900 ULTRA ARCHITECTURE
RADEON 9800 PRO

With such a high end configuration. You don't call that a "PC" anymore. Its called a RIG.
