I managed to wake up early, complete reading the papers and catch the first bus to work today. Not bad, I managed to catch the first bus twice 2 days in a row. Had breakfast with Atek, Wei Loong and the regulars. What is simple is true, a simple breakfast by the sea, hearing the waves crash upon the shore. A very soothing feeling indeed. Someday, I hope to live near or by the beach.
I think I am totally doomed for the seamanship exam, just did some light mugging today in class, did not pay attention to class as usual. I guess I have to really cram a huge load of stuff into my head within 3 or 4 days. Given that Rahmat's notes did not arrive and Man's notes will only be lent to me tomorrow. I just hope to not just pass the seamanship exam, but to try my best to get highest.
Its not impossible, I asked SSgt Tan for some tips today and he literally cut off a few big chapters that I was about to read. I hope that with his tips and coupled with a few days of mugging, I can score nearly full marks on the paper. Then I'll really be a slacker, sleep in class all day long and still manage to top the class. Haha, just an evil though that I had.
Nico brought this book on Nostradamus today. I must say that I was cautious when browsing through it. The book claims that Nostradamus has predicted many great events in history. Perhaps I would say its is coincidence in some cases. His "words of prophecy" are very vague indeed and can be twisted to serve any purpose relating to major world events. Perhaps he obtained his clairvoyance through familiar spirits? Who knows? I don't but one things for sure, I don't trust that guy one bit. I only trust the Bible and its prophecies.
I did not sleep during class today, but in between the breaks, it was just snoozing around as usual. Love the soft chairs, 3 of them can form a comfortable, albeit narrow bed good enough for a short nap. I helped Atek, Liang Wei, Wei Loong and Nico today set up lunch mistakenly. I thought that we had been dismissed for lunch, so I just happily walked out of the classroom. Little did I know only the 4 of them had been dismissed to go collect lunch!
No harm, I just helped them here and there and made their life a little bit easier for them, anyway, Its my turn like tomorrow. And tomorrow I'm also the QM, quarter-master. Its something like squad i/c of the day. Oh well, good thing its at Brani and not Kallang, where I'll have to end up saluting a ton of senior officers just watching like hawks for any possible mistake.
An entire work table in the other squad's room collapsed today. Apparently, too many people sat on the table whilst playing carrom, so the table just collapsed. The bang was really loud, but it did give us about 15 of free time as SSgt Thomas went over to F*** them. Highly amusing actually.
I guess today's just like any boring day, I can't wait for the day to end to live my life at home on the computer. Merf asks how come I am online every single day. Well I just have an internet addiction. I prefer to live my alter-ego life online than in real life. Besides, I am attracted to computers.
I've realised that I've become alot more crude and vulgar lately. I don't like it, but the bad words/thoughts just keep coming out! Perhaps its just due to the NS system. Everyday I hear at least 20 F words and about 50 cheesebuns. Not so easy to keep a clean tongue. Tsk, must go pray. =(
I ended my day by spending time updating the SARS activity log sheets and calling Aunty Ros on the phone. She told me that the love ACJC thing has been postponed indefinitely because there was a change in the term exam time-table, leaving the exam only ending tomorrow.
Wow, I can just imagine orchard road, city hall, city link, suntec city, esplanade and holland village. ACJC is going to "own" these places for a few hours tomorrow. Heh. i really miss my days in ACJC, especially the times we went to "chong" after our exams/tests.
