Listening to Norah Jones - Feelin' the same way
feelings?
A quiet day at home. As usual, my second off is spent resting with the computer. Just went to Tekka as usual. Going to actually run later. Almost 2 months since I last ran a proper run. All I hope is that the weather holds up - no sun, overcast, light breeze. Perfect for running. Even more perfect for cycling.
I shouldn't have paid good money for blogger. Its not the best blog host. Only good thng is that it allows your blog address to be in the form of a subdomain. I think upsaid's blogging interface is neater, more organised and they have more features. Besides, their premium features are around 24 US a year. Much more worth it than blogger pro - which retails for 35 US.
There is this guy who sweeps the floor at the fruit section of Tekka Market. I believe he suffers from something called neurofibromatosis, or in laymen's terms - Elephant Man's Disease. For this particular person, the disease causes massive growths to form in his left cheeck. To the extent that his left cheeck actually droops down and touches his shoulders.
Its a very ugly, perhaps even disgusting sight. Might even be repulsive to some people. He looks SO condemned by everyone around him for his looks. Its like life dealt him a really harsh blow. For a person like me who doesn't give a damn about how everyone around me feels , or having no heart to feel for others. I feel for him. Its weird, I don't even care whether people around me are happy or sad or whatever, I'm very selfish in the area of feelings. I only choose to feel about me, myself and my selfish self.
I just find it weird that i feel for this guy. He looks so terribly ugly, yet somehow, I connect with him somewhere.
Damn. This is just so weird.
I heard somewhere in church/CF/dunno, that God doesn't send angels in the form of people of admiration of sort. I think if I didn't hear wrongly, God sends angels in the form of the destitute, the condemned, the poorest of poor, the diseased, etc. The fragments of human society that the majoirty so chooses to ignore, only to give out of false charity and guitl for their suffering. Its a like an open test that God puts on the earth, to see who is willing to take up the challenge and the sacrifce to help and aid these people. Or perhaps "people".
"... Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me." Matt 25:40

I managed to get this froman issue from Police Life Monthly, a magazine of which a few dollars is deducted from my pay every month, for a subscription that I have not even received one single issue. I took this ancient copy from the charge office in the base.
