"As many were astonied at thee; his visage was so marred more than any man and his form more than the sons of men:"
- Isaiah 53:14

"And when the centurion, which stood over against him, saw that he so cried out, and gave up the ghost, he said, Truly this man was the Son of God."
- Mark 15:39

What Mel Gibson portrayed in The Passion Of The Christ was like a hot knife searing my heart. Although I did not cry during the show, somehow, it resonated deep within my inner heart. It almost felt like my heart was crying in deep anguish and pain.

Watching Jesus being beaten and scourged was bad enough. The most painful part was where His hands and feet were nailed to the cross. And the next most unexpected part was when the cross was flipped over. And flipped over again before being raised up. With that crown of thorns as well.

After the show ended, people just sat and stared blankly around for a while. An unimaginable price paid for us by Jesus. A demonstration of God's perfect love. I am most deeply moved and touched by this film.
