Listening to Five for Fighting - Something About You (The Swatch Ad Song)
crazy two days
Met up with T Squared, Lester and James joined in for a simple tour and reunion around orchard. We just basically went to walk around orchard, chatted about old times, visited quite a few expensive boutques selling branded/speciality products and went girl spotting. Much memories were re-lived as we visited the hangouts that we'd all go to whenever we cut classes in ACJC.
Can't stand all these "survey people", "insurance peddlars" as well as "credit card parties" that keep looking for people to partake in their ridiculous nonsense. I don't understand why we have so many people running around doing silly surveys when they could easily pass a URL around online to gather information. And then all these insurance people who seek out NSmen by our Four by Two haircuts and tanned skin. Forever cooking up a ridiculous policy "specially for NSmen" to help us when the "CPF changes come into effect". and then there's all these credit card people who actively try to seek out university girls and guys to sign up for one more of their debt-inducing flaunting priviledges! CASH IS KING! CREDIT GET LOST!
I managed to check out my BREGUET, they're selling it at the hour glass in Taka. I think its retailing for like 11 000 dollars or something like that. When I've enough money, I'll buy it for myself and wear it for the rest of my life. I'll only replace it with another BREGUET. Hopefully, someday, I'll be rich enough to get myself a BREGUET Grande Complication Tourbillion skeleton watch. Breguet's watches are really the nicest in terms of design, asthetics and innovation! Lots of their watch designs and movements are copied by other watch makers. The only other watch brand I'd say is really good is Frank Muller. Rolex is just an Ah Beng's watch. Disgusting brand. Lolex Loleks. BREGUET (pronounced Breh-guay) iz ze most classique arounde. Patek Philips is nice too, but that's just an old man's watch. Who wanna pay good money for a watch that you'd never own anyway?
As for patrol duty. I ended up working from 9p.m till about 5a.m. The time really passes very slowly at the time period of 2 to 3, but after that, before I know it its like 5a.m already. Patrol was great. The crew commander was a very nice person and everyone was like just so friendly. Doesn't matter even if my patrol area is like the furthest away from the base. The crew set is what counts.
I passed my basic theory. Mum and Dad are like so happy that I'm one step closer to having me drive them around the place! They can't wait for me to pass. I can't blame them. Dad has been sending me around for almost 20 years of my life already. I too feel a little bit guilty about getting him to send me to church and to base of sorts. When I pass my driving practical. I'm going to drive, and THEY are going to sit at the back and enjoy the ride! Going to register for my advanced theory tomorrow at that screwed up gahmen building called bukit batok driving center. A complete waste of my precious time dealing with another useless gahmen organisation staffed by people with big time attitude problems!
Church was fantastic! Praise was probably one of the best this year! I thoroughly enjoyed the praise. It seems to have gone on to a new level in church. Worship was just "average". Meaning that it was quite "standard". Nothing great about it. Frankly speaking, I wish that worship was a little bit longer. It now seems to me that praise is longer than worship! I dont' mind standing for another few minutes worth of worship, just so if I can "soak" in God's presence for a little while longer. Church is a really great place to worship God. The other being LT 3 during CF meetings in ACJC!
Pastor preached a very inspiring sermon today. All I know now is that God can use me to do great things. All that matters is whether or not I am willing for Him to use me! Pastor shared about the fact that God can use anyone to do great things for His Glory. All He is looking for is just ONE willing person.
Sometimes I find it funny. God only needs one person to do great things for Him. But since nothing great has happened. Does it mean that there is not even ONE person that can satisfy God's criteria? If you can call it a "criterion", that is. Well, perhaps, really, no one is willing to pay the price. Because from the lives of one of my close friends, who has paid a very heavy price for going all out for God. I understand why.
Are you willing to lose ALL your "friends". Be ostracised. Be laughed at, mocked at, scorned, back stabbed, gossiped about, whacked around, get attacked big time by satan, suffer a feeling of loneliness and feel like God has left you? All for the sake of standing up for His Kingdom?
My friend Matt paid that price. He was never the same after that. He loved God to a degree that was so great, that it basically freaked out alot of people. And we're talking about CF PEOPLE. Can you imagine if the people who say that "they're behind you all the way" dump you, scorn at you and look down on you? Plus they put you down and make you feel bad about loving God?
With Christian "brothers" and "sisters" like these. We don't need enemies anymore. So I have to ask myself. Am I willing to lay it all down for my King of Majesty? Not for the rewards, not for the glory, not for anything. Just so that His Name might be lifted higher? Less of me and more of Him?
Even Peter, the APOSTLE that loved Jesus the most, denied Jesus THRICE. He's an apostle. How about me? Am I willing to sacrifice my comfort for my King, or will I go with it half heartedly and then backslide later on?
I don't want to say "I LOVE YOU JESUS". I want to DEMONSTRATE that I truly love You, My KING.
