I'm reaching the World Trade Center later and later with each passing day. It seems that Dad times the journey such that I reach the WTC at exactly 7.25 in the morning, so I only have to sit in the bus for about 3 minutes before it leaves (The bus camps there until 7.29). Cool Dad.

I had breakfast with Nico, Ah Teck, Wei Loong, Liang Wei and two of the regulars, Adrian and Gary. We chatted so much that we missed the fall in time. So when we arrived at the fall in area, the rest of the squad had been dismissed already. OC Isham made us march two more rounds around the classroom block. I wouldn't consider it a punishment, more of an opportunity to reflect about our actions. he later just told us really nicely to do things as a squad in future and not to be late when falling in. Wow, they don't scold us here at Brani unlike in Tracom. Small thing also complain and make such a big fuss.

Liang Wei watched from the stairs and smirked at us. Felt like boxing the chap later on! How could he laugh at us! Hahahaah, I wouldn't box him, its not me to use violence. At the most, just poke him in the stomach a few times later on.

But later he complain to his CGL who will complain to Merf and Merf may rebuke me for my childish actions. So I didn't poke him.

I spent the morning tying knots again. OC Isham gave us a knots mock test. I failed at one knot, the Sheep Bend, something which he did go through, but i didn't see how it was done since I was so far back. Mostly spent my time in class reading last weeks issue of Newsweek. They write so much in that thin issue that I can't even finish reading all the articles! And I still have this weeks Time and Newsweek to Read! Not to mention this month's Nat Geo.

Reading seems to have become my default pastime for now. I read to pass the time spent waiting for my turn. It really does help take my mind off things and send me to a more thoughtful and creative state of mind.

The muslim guys went for their prayer today, but only those with transport need go. OC Isham said that there were problems trying to charter a bus for them to go to the mosque. I think in the end, some of the more devoted muslims without transport walked to the mosque, which is on the other side of Brani. The rest just stayed in class to play carom. I slept on three chairs arranged together in on straight line. Got some rest but no sleep. Some of the guys went to pipe some music through the JBL Pro speaker systerm in the class. They played a very sad song: Someday We'll Know by Mandy Moore and Jonathan Foreman. I almost felt like crying. Damn, that song is so sad and yet so honest, so meaningful. It just like writes the unwritable song of my sad heart. =( I miss her lots.

Lunch was a little better today, deep fried chicken that had not been boiled a second time! But the portion was so small I had to go supplement it with some pork and chicken from the canteen's one and only stall. Managed to finish the rice.

I slacked in class for 2 hours, till the muslim guys came back from their friday prayers. Haha, today's a PDP day! I though that I had to march since Squad 4, the other squad forming the other half of the PCG contingent was going to be absent. It would be a sad day for me, to go to drill. I dislike drill. I can't stand it! The feeling of being rooted motionless to the floor just sucks, especially since I'm just another restless/hyperactive guy who can't sit still for very long.

I didn't march, just slacked around, helped Poh Yong to buy his "bungee" Security Pass Holster. Suhaimi later requested that I replace him, at about 6. Ok i guess, 40 minutes of drill couldn't hurt me and I need some practice, just in case I really get called up on that day itself.

PDP practice finished at about 7, Mum was kind enough to pick me up and send me home. Simple a day indeed. I hope my 2 and 1/2 years go by as quickly as possible.=)

I got my EZ link card today, the consession one which I can buy a bus stamp/ mrt stamp with. I looked terrible. See below for proof. How I look like in my 11b, my EZ link card and how I really look like in normal life. The thick black glasses were mum's idea, in case I broke my glasses during training. My hair is so short because I took it one day before enlisting, having taken the initiative to shave literally bald.

Yes, laugh all you want. I find it amusing too that the guy in the picture is me.
