I woke up at 5.30 today. Since it was too early to do anything, I went to pray. But my prayer life is always being so distracted about the time limits that I have to adhere to, things that's coming up, things in the past. Its so distracting that its become quite hard to focus on the Lord.

My kindergarten teacher, I can't remember her name, who taught me to pray more than 15 years ago, always told everyone in class before prayer to FOCUS on God and not be distracted by ANYTHING around me. Truly, I have to learn to be more child-like in this area.

Mum sent me to the WTC today as Dad would only return from Penang later in the morning. Mum set out at 6.40 and dropped me off at 7.20. Dad sets out at 6.55 and drops me at 7.16.

What a time disparity indeed! And mum said that she was travelling by a faster route!

When we were passing by Cuscaden Road, off Orchard Road, I saw like maybe 6 Fire Engines, a Civil Defence Bus, 7 Police Fast Response Cars, 2 Ambulances and I think the SOC Red Bus. The bus deploys riot police. True enough, as we drove further down the road to Hard Rock Cafe, there was like at least 30 to 40 Special Operations Command Anti-Riot Policemen there.

Could've been a fight, a riot, a gang clash? Who knows, but Hard Rock is just "one of those areas" for such activity to take place. I can't say much more than this on my Blog as it is once again classified material. I can only be truthful as far as my mind allows me and the law does not hold me back in my blog.

I spent literally the whole day in class catching up on last month's issue of Newsweek. Though the date was 28th April, the magazine usually come about at least a week earlier, hence its like I received the issue a month ago, but had no time to read it.

I only peeked up from my reading once in a while to see what SSgt Tan was teaching. More or less, it was a theoretical lesson on boat manipulation, but he said that it was something that could only be piicked up with practical expertise. Heck, the whole class was either sleeping, not paying attention or doing their own stuff. I managed to read about 3/4 the magazine within like 3 hours? Quite slow indeed. I really need to increase my reading speed.

Lunch was horrible, the minced mutton looked like someone's diarrhoea, seriously. I couldn't bring myself to eat such "food" and ended up buying food again. Its what Wei Loong and Ah Teck have been doing all the while, not eating the provided food but buying their own. I shall follow suit when I have a little bit more money. This month I'm really tight on my budget.

The afternoon was just the much hated Police Day Parade. This time it was held in the Indoor Stadium, at least the air con was working, unlike the previous instances. Without the air con, there is absolutely no air cirulation. It gets SO HOT that you sweat until sweat just drips off your knuckles. Leaving a many many tiny drops of sweat on the ground around you. It is truly an irritating experience like no other.

I can honestly say that I hate all forms of parades, passing out parade, police day parade, national day parade, chaing parade, standing parade, water parade, marching parade, running parade. All designed to punish your body for its weaknesses. Weaknesses that all human being have.

Imagine being faulted for breathing air. Ya, its like that.

I came home via a very very slow bus, it stoped at almost all the traffic lights. A 20 minute journey becomes a 1 hour journey. So much for "world class" public transport. They ought to change the way these traffic lights work. Once you're at a red light, you can expect to hit red light junctions for the rest of your trip.

Wei Loong and Edmund asked me to join them for dinner at Orchard. I declined as mom would be cooking Pork Knuckles. i dish that I really like. The flesh at that part of a pig is really soft and tender! And the skin, when properly oven roasted is very crispy as well

Finally, a shorter blog entry indeed. =).
