How's the new layout? I think its kinda elegant! Not too much "boxed-in" contents. Other than Baby Blue, I couldn't really find another color that would be suitable to be used as the background color. Thank the inspiration from Shu Yin's Blog.

Managed to download the entire Macromedia Studio MX today. Its 160 Megs off Kazaa and has Flash MX, Fireworks MX, Freehand MX (Which I've never touched before) and of course, DREAMWEAVER MX! Dreamweaver is proably the best webpage editing software on the market. It retails for like 599? But of course, the pirates sell it at around 8 dollars and kazaa is FREE!

Wasn't so used to the new interface, other than that, the learning curve isn't very steep and before I knew it, I had already edited my template to a more "elegant looking one".

memories of the patrol

Oh yes, At about 8 a.m today, there was some radio call from one of the boats patrolling the waters off Clifford Pier. That is the ONE FULLERTON area along with the ESPLANADE. Apparently, there was a Crocodile Sighted! I'm not kidding! I found it very strange as well. Anyways, I'm not sure how the story ends as my shift ended when the Ops Room asked that patrol boat to deploy a life raft for goodness-knows-what-purpose.

So if there's at least one crocodile in the waters. Logically, there must be more. Hope nothing bad happens.

The boat is SO COLD! I feel cold even under my winter jacket! It's like living in a very cold fridge. My toes freeze when I sleep on the bed which is below another bed. I don't understand why they must the air con so cold and yet give us no dial which to adjust it. Talk about paying 4 million over dollars for a boat with a bad design! It didn't take crew comfort into consideration!

I managed to change my ancient Tracom Drill Boots for New Hush Puppies Shoes! I'll only wear them for Sentry duty as they are really much more comfortable than those useless Bata (Buy and Throw away!) safety shoes!

T Squared

I met up with my good old friend T Squared today. He gets to book out in the evenings this week because his squad has a performance for the NDP. Allowing the unit to book out is a form of reimbursement for all their burnt weekends. A very bad deal indeed! Everyone's usually free on the weekends unless booked, but not many are free on the weekdays in the first place to being with! Losing one sunday is not equal to 5 weeknights of freedom. It's different. The nuts at the SAF had better get that into their thick hard and bony skulls filled with nothing but a chanting of the phrase "follow the book".

I somehow ended up at Woodlands MRT 1 hour before the appointed meeting time. Talk about punctuality! I expected the train ride to take 1 hour, plus a 20 minutes walking time to the station from my house. In the end, somehow, I only took 10 minutes to walk there, the train came on the spot and travelled so fast that I only took 25 minutes for the whole journey.

I wasted my time looking around the place and sitting around. Shouldn't waste the time on my off days like this. I waste enough time being on the boat already.

We just sat down to a light dinner of deer meet at some shopping mall of Woodlands MRT. Seems like there's a shopping mall next to every single MRT station that is in the HDB "Heartlands". Just chatted and reminisced about our life in ACJC. Talking about the typical topics like NS, girls in ACJC, pranks, stunts that we pulled off and all the other assorted nonsense I could bang him with.

Overall, it was very enjoyable meeting up with a very brilliant and intellectual friend that doesn't give you the "Boon Leong" or "Winston Chin" feeling. Its quite strange that our conversation felt so short, but time wise, it was at least 3 hours. He had to go off at about 8 plus since he has to book in again tomorrow.

rjc girl

Throughout the train ride, I wasn't so bored. Some RJC girl actually kept me "entertained" throughout the whole trip, albeilt quite indirectly.

At first this girl, quite pretty and has this typical ACJC girl look, just that she's in the rj uniform with neatly folded up sleeves. She and her two friends, one girl and one guy actually tried to crash into the train just as the doors were closing. Her friend (the girl) was actually sandwiched quite tightly for a moment. With lots of shrieking and screaming, the doors automatically opened again (safety mechanism) and that girl rushed in with a big smile on her face followed by lots of laughter from her friends. (I wanted to go wrench the doors open, or at least hold it open, but its not necessary on the SMRT lines, unlike the NEL, besides, it happened so fast to react to it and worst - it was so funny I just stood there rooted to the ground to "watch the fun". I'm so evil!)

Too bad, they were taling way too loud for a group and everyone could hear their conversation. It was, as expected, some gossip about whose seeing who in RJC and some nonsense about their CCA, which appears to be the ODAC I think. Basically the whole carriage was just staring at them laugh and giggle away nonsense. They're conversation was highly amusing, almost felt like a page out of Talkingcock.com. All their silly nonsense really left me quite dumbstruck.

Soon one of her friends (the girl) had to go and this RJ girl ended up talking to this other guy of her. The guy looked like a typical RJC NERD! NERD NERD NERD NERD! Thick glasses, tight pants and a high profile school bag and all. As usual, they chatted too loudly about stupid topics that made me laugh like crazy in my heart. I was acting to be asleep. (Have to act sometimes mah!)

Then later the guy got off at CCK MRT station and she proceeded to sit next to me. She took out some JAPANESE worksheets. My goodness! Japanese! Very pro sia! So yeah, I had a field day peeking over her shoulder at her doing her assignments whilst acting to be asleep.

Interesting to note, when I looked up later on, I noticed that quite a number of guys in the opposite row was trying to peek up her skirt! She had spread her legs a little bit to accommodate her file full of worksheets on her lap and wasn't exactly sitting properly. So basically the guys in the opposite row had a field day getting their "noses bled".

I had two choice. Reveal myself as a policeman to that bunch of perverts and warn them about "insulting a women's modesty" or just do nothing. Sadly, I chose the second option. I don't understand why I am so apathetic to crime even though I'm a policeman. Argh. My heart desires to stand up for justice and my mind is like so heck care abou the whole thing. Damn. Thinking about it again, if i had stood up, it would hae felt totally weird and alien an experience to me. So i ponder.

Yeah, and I was still "sleeping". So how could a sleeping person jump up an accuse that row of perverts of such things as peeking up a girl's skirt? They could easily just defend themselves by saying it was "accidental" or some zao geng shit.

My stop soon came and I quickly got off the train. Then she realised its her stop and quickly packed up her stuff. Again, it was damn funny the way she did it! So cute! I don't know why I found it cute, but the actions were just plain funny. A little bit rushing, a little bit arranging of hair and a little bit of chucking things into her schoolbag. Am I sadistic or what? Or is it voyeuristic? Argh!

Ok in the end, since I arrived early I just walked around the shopping mall. Somehow, I kept bumping into her for no apparent reason at all. No, I didn't follow her. Just went walking around the various levels of the shopping mall and ended up seeing her practically everywhere! One day, too many coincidences, its just SO weird....

Ya, so basically that's how this RJC girl kept me "entertained" for the 1 hour "early time". Must be some JC1 I think. Doing japanese worksheets in August. If she were J2, she would be revising her TYS or some revision material. Ah well. That's one RJC girl I won't forget for quite some time. Damn funny. Too bad I didn't catch a pic of her on my camera phone! Just one of those opportunities the camera phone was invented for!
