I came back from Coast Guard Training and found that there's no lunch in the kitchen! Right, I told my dad to at least buy one packet of chicken rice for me. Dad said no problem and then I'm like gonna starve now and realise that Maggie Mee is gonna end up being my best friend again.

So I took out the pot and all the eggs and THREE packets of maggie mee, yup, that's how hungry a wolf of an NS man can be. After starting to cook two packets simultaneously, mum called to say that she would be buying me noodles from the foodcourt outside our house. Not too bad! I get to eat more! So heck, screw the last packet of maggie mee and enjoy some REAL noodles! =) Food never tasted so good since the day I was enlisted

The "food" at TRACOM is just colorful shit, really... there's no taste, the veggies are often rotten, the fish was like fried last week and the chicken probably came from Hong Kong! Wonder how the AVA (Agri-Veterinary Authority) actually authorises such stuff to pass through our country's borders.

Mum told me at lunch that Dad is on diet, I think that's a wise step to take since dad's cholesterol level is skyrocketing. Currently it stands at about 240? I think the average for a young person is about 110? Just hope he doesn't get a heart attack anytime soon, Dad's like a great father to me, though he doesn't talk much to me, and yet he literally supples all my needs, I can feel that he loves me very much. Thank God that at least Dad though dad is often invisible (14 hours a day), I can still feel the warmth of his love towards me. =D

I saw that mum has done shopping at this grocery store called Jenny's. Never heard of it before but ya it reminded me of a very interesting quote:

"When you spell LEONG into the handphone, you actually get jenni" - Lynn Chou (4th prettiest girl in ACJC JC1 2001)

Lynn was eventually 3rd prettiest in school but what she said is highly amusing, because our whole class didn't exactly like our form (and economics) teacher, Mr Leong Jenn Yeoong. He was just a real crazy guy who had very sudden mood swings and temper tantrums. But then again, he was always an excellent Christian, heard that he preaches like part time or something at Wesleyan Community Church (at Suntec City).

"Guys are such suckers for pretty girls" - unknown. Its true, it seems that guys have this in-built program in their head that tells them whether a girl looks good or not when looking at her and knowing that this is the "general consensus" of the male population. (This is however, absent in the mind of my good friend Ivan - being brutally honest, I'd say that he has very bad taste). "Girls looks better when you're an NSman" - George from church. True true, I'd agree wholeheartedly with him. When I only see girls like twice a week during book outs at TRACOM. I'll just be looking at girls everywhere I go. Can't help it you know when I see guys guys guys everyday for so many days in a row.

Wonder if there's such a thing as "addiction to looking at pretty girls". Perhaps I would prove my theory with a contradiction: If there's no addiction to looking at pretty girls for guys. Then why the hell do websites such as PhotoForum and SgGirls exist? Its just a place where all the horny guys go to check out good looking girls... Yes, I'm guilty too, I'm one of the SINNERS who go there when I'm bored to look around and see what kind of looks to other guys look for in girls.

Oh ya... reminds me of my Prep course? Guys are just showing off the pictures of their girlfriends to the other bunkmates as a manner to break the ice and to well, erm, compare whose like "better" at winning the heart of a pretty girl. Is relationships so superficial in our "highly educated" society? Perhaps that's why there are so many divorces (1 in 3 marriages) going on, so many broken families. Because we marry for personality? or looks? or money? and are not willing to see the Character of a person? Some food for though indeed.

I couldn't finish the 4km run again today. Ran like 1.8 km and then feel out. Thankfully, the F.I didn't want to tekan me and let me off by walking the rest of the distance. Though the real penalty was at warmdown: 20 pushups (Chicken feet lah!)

Coast Guard... it rocks thus far man! I'll be going to rest soon, then pack my stuff after I wake up... got a very long night today and I'm going straight to Church after attachment tomorrow. Hope I don't fall into the sea, we don't kena anything unexpected and that I'll learn fast.

And pray that I can sleep on the Viking too.
